FDA carglumic OK

THE FDA has approved carglumic acid tablets, designed for the treatment of the metabolic disorder N-acetylglutamate synthase deficiency, which creates excess levels of ammonia in the blood. Trials found that carglumic acid tablets lowered the amount of ammonia in the blood within 24 hrs normalising levels in three days.
