I’m SO hipster that I only take my
lattes blue.
Yes, a vegan cafe in Melbourne’s
St Kilda went there.
The ‘smurf’ latte contains a mix of lemon,
ginger agave, coconut milk and
wait for it... live blue algae.
The blue algae is purportedly
a superfood which is a relief
because we though it was
something toxic found in stagnant
lakes.
This live algae is promoted as
containing over 65 vitamins,
minerals, amino acids and
essential fatty acids.
Drink up!
AUSTRALIAN celebrity chef and
paleo crusader Pete Evans has
decided sunscreen is “a recipe for
disaster”.
Wait, we thought that was
sunburn.
Nope, he has gone on the public
record saying sunscreen is a “silly”
thing for people to put on their
skin with every smothering doing
you damage.
“People put on normal chemical
sunscreen then lay out in the sun
for hours on end and think that
they are safe because they have
covered themselves in poisonous
chemicals which is a recipe for
disaster,” he said.
The Cancer Council isn’t too
impressed with his remarks, nor
are melanoma survivors, including
ABC radio host Mark Colvin who
tweeted him a frank message.
