REDUCING climate change may
have positive effects on your
health, according to a new
review this week from by the
World Health Organisation.
The report found that
investments in climate friendly
housing (such as home insulation)
can go a long way to improve
asthma and allergies, as well
as heart disease and stoke
“related to increasingly intense
heat waves and cold spells”.
WHO also found that
investments in, and use of, safe
walking/cycling and public
transport networks are strongly
associated with more healthy
physical activity, lower rates of
premature mortality, and less
