Pathogenic E.Coli and others are now known to be the cause of bowel cancer, according to a report from the University of Liverpool, published on The Conversation. Dietary fibres from plantains, bananas and broccoli can block harmful risk-increasing bacteria, as can vitamin D (almonds, red onions and chives are named), regular exercise and even anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin and perhaps other NSAIDS.
