Government policy shift that puts
patient safety at risk by undermining
the value of a medical diagnosis.”
AMA president Andrew Pesche
said there had been no
consultation regarding the repeat
prescribing provisions (PD
yesterday), which he said “send a
dangerous signal to patients about
access to prescription medicines”.
He warned that the AMA would
be “protesting loud and long” over
the move, adding that it shows that
“the future of quality health care in
