THE Health Department has launched a new website giving "unprecedented detail and ease of access to Australia's aged care information and data breakdowns".
The GEN website is a one-stop-shop for older people, their families, researchers and other stakeholders needing data on aged care, according to Minister for Aged Care, Ken Wyatt.
As well as infographics and fact sheets on a wide variety of topics, the site provides the ability to search data nationally, by state or through one of the nation's 73 Aged Care Planning Regions.
The website accesses databases linked to the National Aged Care Data Clearinghouse which is managed by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
